Re: Questions for the team « Result #2 on Jan 23, 2008, 1:51pm »
I was expecting it to have a polished finish with a design that expresses the personilities of the team. To be frank the black is drab and doesn't do anything for me. Sorry!

Hi Chappers,
Testdays with the Team give drivers a chance to test the car in a non-race environment. Testdays are also used for drivers to gain more experience with the car and hone the car's set-up to a particular circuit and/or driver.
Unfortunately, all race drives that you will see advertised are based on the assumption that the driver has a suitable budget.
As you are aware, motorsport can be very expensive but there are some relatively inexpensive forms of it that you could get involved in.
Do some research on the inter'thingy-web, see what takes your fancy and go along and watch some races/events.
Talk to some of the competitors and teams and ask them how much they spend in a season's racing. Most people will give you honest answers and will be love to talk to you about their sport.

Hi.... i'm new to this whole "drives available" thing, so could you explain to me how it works?
There are testing dates... which cost £1750 i think for a whole day... is that for the team to find people to drive for them? If they're selected do they then have to pay each race day or is that it? Or is it like hiring your car to race with?
I'd like to get into motorsport, but I don't know how to do it and also be able to afford it. I never have been able to afford it (which is why i'm studying mechanical engineering rather than karting every weekend).
I'd like to think i'm quite good though so are there teams who select people for their skill?
